This has been a long project and a very interesting one. It is somehow a very important commission work, because it is our daughter’s very first desk!

Shelves are one of the simplest furniture designs, but that doesn’t mean they have to be dull!
Raised panel cabinet doors.
Maybe our most challenging project to date. I was asked by a family friend to make two bespoke cabinet doors for her kitchen.

Season’s Greetings
It has been a few years now, that every Christmas we tell ourselves that the next year we will make some awesome Christmas cards to send out to our friends, yet every time the holidays come upon us and we are not ready. Not this time though… Continue reading
An icicle that never melts
Summer is over, yet there is no reason for not enjoying a nice icicle. Why not a musical walnut-lime icicle.
Take a stand, make a table saw stand
Finally we got a new (second hand) table saw for the woodworking shop. And of course the first project with it will be a stand to put it on. The design is inspired by our workbench, so it will be assembled with mortise and tenons, but this time the tenons will be cut on the table saw. It took about an hour to make the tenons this way (it took me a couple of days to make those of the workbench by hand) and they were very consistent in size.
A small wood rack for a tiny workshop
As you could see from our previous post our workshop gets a little messy from time to time and a bunch of pieces of wood rolling around the shop (literally) was starting to be a problem (and potentially a hazard).
Workbench With Drawers
For a workshop of any kind, two things are fundamental: surfaces and storage. You need solid and wide surfaces to work on and large and secure storage capacity to store your tools and materials when you are not working with them.
Easy gift idea, travel Tic tac toe.
Here is a very simple and fun idea for a birthday present or a very quick DIY project.
It requires very basc sewing skills, and a few rocks!
First, cut two pieces of cloth, and prepare a socket to hold the two ropes that are going to close the bag. On one of the pieces sew a grid using a colorful ribbon and sew the three sides of the bag. Use two ropes or laces to make two loops around the top of the bag.
Remember to choose 10 rocks, beads, buttons or whatever you prefere, as long as they are of two distinct colors, to play the game.
And there you have it! If needed you can look here for the rules and strategies to the game. Enjoy!
